twitter.com/alpinewreck:

you ever volunteer to give a presentation on something you’re passionate about but then as the due date gets closer you realise you maybe care a bit too much? you want to successfully defend any accusation that can or has been thrown against a topic that means so much to you you want to provide a million quotes from other people who’s view more accurately sums up what you’re trying to express you want to spread your enthusiasm and passion like an airborne virus you want to spend a life seeped in research and practical exploration of the topic but someone wants you to discuss and defend an absolute minuscule portion of the topic in ten minutes

    also

you go on tumblr to moan and procrastinate rather than face up to the task at hand

i guess the question is then - is it better to give a presentation on something you care less about but can more concisely sum up in ten minutes (by virtue of knowing less about it) or is it better to try and present a snapshot of something of massive importance to you and hope that your enthusiasm covers the fact you have to show such an isolated example rough around the edges from having been so crudely torn from the body of the topic by people who clearly didn’t know that much about it? I guess - is it better to be succinct in your superficiality or imperfect but enthusiastic?
